Like most people, we are taking each day as it comes, and will continue to take and send out orders for as long as we are allowed. We maintain a very high level of hygiene, and follow all government best practice guidelines. In order to reduce the number of trips to the Post Office, we will be operating on a "post every other day" schedule for the time being, although we do have limited contact with staff as our post is mostly processed by us.
We currently have an extended dispatch time on all items. Any tile orders taken will need to be agreed by us as our tile supplier is currently closed and we do not have a lot of stock left, particularly the 150mm tiles. Where a tile order is accepted, please allow at least two weeks for dispatch.
Please be aware that Royal Mail are experiencing delays of several days, and as such, your order may take longer than usual to arrive. Orders to outside the UK are also taking considerably longer to arrive their destinations.
All delivery times are in addition to our dispatch timescales, which can be found here.
Standard 3-5 working day delivery to the UK starts at £1.49 per order. An upgrade to first class is available from £3.
Delivery to Europe is from £5 for all items except tiles, for which a charge of £5 for every 4 100mm tiles is made, and £8 for every 4 150mm tiles. Please contact us for an exact quotation.
We can ship worldwide, however rather than charge a one off cost for this, it will be done on a case by case basis. Please contact us for rates.
For shipping outside of the UK please read our very important information here before ordering.
A whole new decorating idea to give your home a unique shabby chic look, perfect for kitchens, utility rooms, bathrooms or fireplaces, and ideal as a splashback inset.
These are professionally handcrafted by Simply Divine Things using a ceramic tile and Clarke and Clarke Yachts fabric. They are finished and sealed with a special gloss coating that protects them from heat, dust, dirt, grease and damp conditions, and yet preserves the vibrant colour and "fabric" look. They have been fully tested to ensure they are watertight, however it is best to still not use them in showers or around baths.
They can be displayed in amongst white tiles to make them really stand out, or all next to each other, and as pictured, will have a continuous pattern from one tile to the next. If you require a pattern like this you will need to request how many tiles are horizontal and how many vertical. For example, the photo is two across and two down.
These tiles are made to order to ensure the same fabric cut is used. As you can see in the pictures, the fabric cut varies, so therefore each tile will be different.
As each individual tile is carefully crafted (no mass production going on round here!), dispatch will take a minimum of 5 working days, depending on the size of your order. This is because the process cannot be rushed, as doing so will mean compromising on quality.
As these are handmade, there may be the odd minor flaw or they may not have a completely smooth finish. This is part of the design and as you can see, they have been finished to an extremely high standard and are constructed to be fit for purpose.
The back is left uncovered, so it is ready for your choosen adhesive to be applied.
The tiles are available in two sizes:
100mm - as photographed 150mm
Fabric samples are available.
They are originally H.R. Johnson tiles which are made in England, a high quality, and widely available all over the UK, so you can ensure if you are using other tiles in the same room, you can obtain the correct ones to match the shape and size.
The Technical Stuff
Where to use: They are perfect for splashbacks, kitchen walls, utility room walls and bathroom walls, however do not use in a shower or round a bath. Extreme heat should also be avoided as this can discolour the finish.
Fixing: Use an adhesive recommended by the manufacturer (H.R. Johnson), carefully ensuring no adhesive is applied to the surface. If any adhesive does come into contact, remove immediately with a soft, damp cloth. The tiles CANNOT be cut. Please contact us if you need different sizes not listed.
Grouting: Extra care must be taken when applying the grout due to the fine decorative finish. Should any grout come into contact with the surface it must be removed immediately with a soft, damp, cloth and not be allowed to dry.
Cleaning and maintenance: Wipe with a soft cloth using lukewarm water with a very small amount of detergent. Abrasive cleaning materials may damage the finish.
Please ensure when purchasing, that you buy the correct amount of tiles as if you require more at a later date, they may be made from a different fabric cut and a colour match cannot be guaranteed.
A copy of these instructions will be sent with your tiles, so if someone else is fixing the tiles for you, they can ensure they are done accordingly. Please note that these instructions will be supplied in English only.
